6 hours of Silverstone won by Toyota who finish first and second. A Porsche 919 of Mark Webber and co finishes third, while the other 919 retires with mechanical issues. Both of the Audis crashed out.

Yep. Apparently the 919s had low downforce and we all know what that means. They're basically using these 2 rounds in preparation for Le Mans so they can be the fastest on those long straights. This is gonna be a good fight in June

Yup definitely anticipating the big race. I'm routing Audi but since VAG now owns Porsche I'm cheering for them as well :D

I'm cheering for Porsche, but I'd be happy if the Toyota won as well. Kinda tired of the Audi one-man show.

Spa Francorchamps Results:

1. Toyota
2. Audi
3. Toyota
4. Porsche

Porsche 919 had pole position but Toyota eventually took over and the 919 never caught up. Toyota wins by over a minute. Second win for them. The other 919 came 4th.

Next round, Le Mans!

nice to see some interest in WEC, think this is the only diecast forum i've been on that has a few members interested in the series.

Watched both the Silverstone and Spa 6 hours Live. Porsche have started strong, but toyota are dominating at the moment. audi's result at Silverstone was a shock and most unlike them. First time they've not had a podium finish in some time. Loving the livery on the Audi's mind.

It was a shame about the #14 Porsche only coming 4th at Spa after getting Pole during qualifying and leading for the opening part of the race. Unfortunately an electrical problem at the later part of the racer ment Dumas had to do a reset and on the final laps Jani had an extra pit stop due to a puncture. So a decent finish, but could easily have been a podium if it wasn't for these two issues, but that's the nature of endurnce racing.

Hat's off to Rebelion racing as well with their new car, totally untested with Spa being the first time they have been able to test the new car. Definately looking forward to see how they do at Le Mans as one of the Privateer teams.

Roll on Le Mans, just 5 weeks to go

Scary part about Audi is they can lose Spa or Silverstone (like they did to Peugeot a few years back) and then rally and win Le Mans. Really excited for it. When was the last time we had a proper battle on our hands? It's been ages

Audi has done it for the 13th time, finishing 1-2, with Toyota taking 3rd after leading for most of the race. Porsche didn't even make the top 10, which is so disappointing. Really disappointed that the leading Toyota had to retire. It was very exciting to see someone other than Audi taking the lead at Le Mans. Until next year I guess!

Yeah that's what I've been doing for the last couple of hours too. Audi just have such great reliability. A bit down on speed, but obviously that didn't make a difference.

The key to success at Le Mans is reliability and consistency, two things Audi has proven to master

Congrats to Audi and all my respect for the great gesture when the 919 restarted for the last lap.

Of course, congrats to Porsche for such a great premiere. First attempt with the 919 and the car led the race until mechanical failure 3 hours before the end of the race.

Then, sad end for the #7 Toyota which dominated his own race. In the end, this bad news served the battle for the 1st and made the race even more exciting.

All in all, great race even if I missed 8 hours out of 24. I wish Porsche stayed in the course, we could have an epic battle for the last 2 hours.

Hopefully, I will be able to go to Le Mans in 2015.

Congrats to Audi fans.
Have you been to Le Mans before, David?
24 Hours of Le Mans and Nurburgring are on my bucket list.
As well as Macau GP.
