1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?
I mainly started collecting Porsche models because of my love for Porsche cars. I started collecting two years ago, and now I have around 30 models (some are not shown due to going through modifications).
2) What was your first diecast or memory?
In this collection, it is modified my Minichamps Porsche 991.2 GT3 in red on the left.
3) What is your favourite scale, and why?
1:18 not too big, not too small, just the right size!
4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?
Again, as stated above, it has to be my modified Minichamps Porsche 991.2 GT3 in red on the left.
5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?
Sorry, I could not understand this question. But I’ll take a stab, anything Porsche at the moment, maybe some RUF ones?
6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?
GT Spirit is the best quality and value for money I have ever seen. Well, at least to me.
7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?
To collect every GT3, GT3 RS and turbo/turbo S in the last three generations of Porsche 911. Simple, right?
8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?
Yes, on the shelves as shown in pictures. I’ll continue this method as long as I keep collecting!
9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?
No! I’m only addicted to Porsche cars, and at the moment, Porsche cars in scale!
10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?
Simple, prices are way too high! However, brands like GT Spirit and Solido help keep the hobby more affordable.
11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?
PLEASE STOP! Do not place license plates on scale models, it looks too dman ugly!
12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?
Yes, I modified almost every Minichamps Porsche model because I think they are bad when it comes to details. I changed brakes, redesigned tires, interiors removed license plates from almost every car, and many of them are still going through the process of modification.
13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?
They think I am crazy for spending so much money on drugs (model cars) :)
14) What is your daily driver?
None! Still not driving cuz I am 18 years old.
Great Porsche collection! As a Porsche collector myself I wish you luck on your goal to collect each GT3 and Turbo from the last three generations!
Beautiful models. Congratulations, Andrej!
Always a good time to be a Porsche fan! the latest Norev 718s are seriously pleasing, and at great value too.
Beautiful selection, and you display them nicely! Thanks for sharing.
Nice (mostly) Porsche collection! I have lots that are boxed and need to be displayed. Hopefully one day you will own a full size 911 too!
