1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?
I got into it when I won a Kinsmart 1:43 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 from a game centre. I have been collecting for over 3 years and have collected a total of 158 models!
2) What was your first diecast or memory?
A Lamborghini Sesto Elemento made by BBurago in 1:24 scale.
3) What is your favourite scale, and why?
1:18 because details are perfect and not too big nor small. Just perfect.
4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?
My favourites are the AUTOart 1:18 Lamborghini Aventador, AUTOart 1:18 Lamborghini Veneno, HotWheels Elite Ferrari LaFerrari and the Kyosho 1:18 Nissan GTR R35. I did share pics with you guys!
5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?
Kyosho 1:18 Audi R8 Spyder! Because for the price, the detail is amazing! I mean like an AUTOart Composite costs around $300 in here, Australia! I bought the R8 for $170! Its like a must get.
6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?
AUTOart because of the fine details. Some composites disappoint me, but it always can be made up by there super detailed models!
7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?
My current theme is Supercars and Race Cars. My goal is to collect more race cars and more big brand supercars!
8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?
Yes, in glass cabinets with light and fans to remove dust!
9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?
Yes! Collecting watches like G-Shock’s.
10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?
Okay. Like prices are slowly creeping up and manufactures are changing materials and moving onto to sealed models, but brand like Maisto and Bburago are improving a lot so that helps!
11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?
Make good quality, detailed models for relatively cheap prices.
12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?
Yes! 1:24 models. I modified a standard 1:24 Bburago LP560-4 into a LB Lamborghini Gallardo!
13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?
Cool and amazing. Some say its a waste of money but I reply and say it’s my special hobby.
14) What is your daily driver?
Honda Civic RS and Mercedes AMG GT-S!
Cheers guys! I’ll send in more pics soon!
