1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?
This forum. I have been collecting for 2 years. I have about 55 models currently.
2) What was your first diecast or memory?
Mercedes C36 AMG Safety Car.
3) What is your favourite scale, and why?
1:18 because of the variety of models available, the overall detailing and the value!
4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?
To date the F1 Safety Cars for sure! I’ve shared photos of them, see below for more detailed images.
5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?
Yes, currently searching for the 1:18 scale 2016 Lexus GSF. Not sure if something is available in scale though.
6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?
In my short tender, I would say GT Spirit! Mainly due to the exclusive variety of models at a reasonable price.
7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?
F1 Safety Cars if you couldn’t tell by the answers above LOL. Also, vintage Mercedes-Benz, love them!
8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?
Yes. In my home office on shelves. Just recently completed a custom setup to show off my collection. This was a dream of mine for years. You must enjoy your collection, I say!
9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?
Yes, motorsports!
10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?
Active and very competitive. Many companies are jumping on the bandwagon of success.
11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?
In my short time in the hobby, I currently wouldn’t change a thing.
12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?
Yes, I custom retrofit standard cars to F1 safety car specs and paint some to match my 1:1 models.
13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?
Haha… She thinks I’m a big kid!
14) What is your daily driver?
My Lexus GSF.

WOW! Interesting theme and properly displayed pieces! I hate it when people cram awesome models as tight as possible to squeeze the last inch out of their cabinet space and justify the ‘need’ to buy another one. This is the antithesis of that and I like it.

Ahmed, I do have to say your display is absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, excellent lighting! I love that you have plenty of room to add a couple more models. I love your Lambo line up! It makes me want to add some of those older models to my collection, I’ve only got a Sian and the Vision GT from Maisto. I love that your focus is safety cars, the unique nature of that is awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of those. I’m curious what made you decide to focus on the safety cars.
