1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?

My passion for cars since I was little. I have been collecting since I was 12 years old. I have a collection of around 200 to 300 cars.

2) What was your first diecast or memory?

Easy… The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith.  Spot on!

3) What is your favourite scale, and why?

Rolls-Royce because I have always been fascinated by the grille and the statuette.

4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?

The Phantom II and Phantom III and Phantom VI. I have shared a few photos with you.

5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?

Yes, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Sultan of Sélangor by FYP.

6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?

My favourite brand is FYP, simply because they make my most favourite replicas of Rolls-Royce.

7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?

LOL, two words! Rolls-Royce!  Nothing can be better!

8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?

Yes, sir, I have various display cabinets with various sales and themes related again to the Roll-Royce brand.

9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?

Music, drawings, though the primary addiction is the Rolls-Royce collection!

10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?

Honestly, from my perspective, it is not bad because it has improved a lot in terms of model fidelity and quality.

11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?

I haven’t thought about it yet…

12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?

Yes, at times I do make slight modifications to a model here or there.  Though, to be honest, I’m not the best, and patience is somewhat lacking.

13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?

My better half has no objections to my collection and my second love, model car collecting.

14) What is your daily driver?

Nothing to share.

Congratulations and welcome! Í have got a bit of a British car theme going in my collection, too, including 9 Rolls-Royce cars and figures of Charles Rolls and Herny Royce. I am a little suprised that none of what I have can be seen in your displays.

    Nice stuff. I have 2 Rolls Royces in my 1:18 collection, a 1964 Phantom V and a 1968
Silver Shadow (both by Paragon). I really like both of them. You can’t beat Rolls Royce in terms of class, in my opinion. Congratulations, Didier!

Room with 200 to 300 Rolls Royce, now that is something to ogle! In my opinion you are an example for “having a focus and theme in a collection”. Kudos!
