1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?

My dad bought me my first model over 6 years ago of a Mercedes McLaren SLR and then really got into collecting supercars/hypercars. I’ve been collecting for about 6years and have around 30model cars.

2) What was your first diecast or memory?

Mercedes McLaren SLR.

3) What is your favourite scale, and why?

1:18 is my favourite scale because they are decently sized to see enough detail and the price point for 1:18 are okay.   I do have 1:12 models but they are too expensive to collect.

4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?

I really like BBR and AUTOart my favourite models are BBR Ferrari F12tdf, 458 Speciale Aperta and the 250 GTO. From AUTOart the Pagani’s and Bugatti’s are my favourite.

5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?

The Pagani Zonda R by AUTOart.

6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?

BBR although they are resin models the overall finish and quality is superb the paint, shut lines and materials used are all very good.

7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?

The current theme in my collection is super/hyper cars.

8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?

Yes In a glass cabinet.

9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?

Not to the same extent.

10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?

The prices are a reoccurring theme for this question and I agree the prices are really high now for all scales models and will probably keep rising. As it stands today I think it’s at the limit for myself to afford the upper model priced car.

11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?

Makes the prices slightly cheaper.

12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?

No I have not yet.

13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?

I’m at university my dad loves it and my mum says I’m wasting my money.

14) What is your daily driver?

Vauxhall Tigra 1.4 2000.
