1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?

I have always loved cars and this way you can own the cars of your dreams.  In my childhood years, I played a lot with toy cars, and when I reached puberty, the ruling regime in our country changed and new things began to flow. I also started working and earning money. I bought the first models around 1994 at a gas station in Kyosho. I was so amazed by the credibility and sophistication that I started collecting 1:18. I currently own around 120 models.

2) What was your first diecast or memory?

There were two of them. BMW M3 (E46) CSL a BMW X5 4.4i od Kyosha.

3) What is your favourite scale, and why?

1:18 a.m. It’s the perfect size to see details and also great for photography.

4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?

I like all my models, but probably the most Pagani Zonda R and Revolucion by Autoart (Diecast), BMW M3 and CSL from Kyosho.

5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?

Yes, they are mostly older pieces from Autoart, for example, BMW M3(E46) CSL, Mercedes Benz 190E 2.516 V, and there are more of them EVO2 nebo BMW Isetta 600.

6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?

It’s AUTOart. Great match with real cars and has great attention to detail, as well as operability.

7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?

I collect cars of all categories, just the ones I really like (I like BMW cars the most) and I would like to have them in my garage.

8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?

I like to photograph my models and display the photos on my website www.krobca.cz or  Instagram www.instagram.com/krobca.cars118.cz/

9) Do you have any other hobbies, passions or addictions?

Yes, I go with the models to various places where I try to photograph them, they also attend various events with cars (exhibitions, museums).

10) What do you think about the diecast hobby as it stands today?

Currently, there is a large selection of models, manufacturers and types of materials, everyone can choose. I just don’t mind the excessive price increases.

11) If you could change one thing about the diecast hobby what would that be?

I would lower the prices to a reasonable amount.

12) Do you modify cars? If yes, what are some examples?

I don’t edit. Just fixing, accidents that happen when shooting and travelling with models.

13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?

My wife and two daughters support me. They go on photography trips with me…  And they don’t mind how much space they take up in the house.

14) What is your daily driver?

Nothing special Hyundai.
