1) What first got you collecting diecast? How long have you been collecting? What is your total model count as of today?

I collect only Lancia models in 1:18 scale. I also have a few 1:43 and 1:64 models, also Lancia Models.

2) What was your first diecast or memory?

Diecast – Lancia Delta Integrale from IXO.

3) What is your favourite scale, and why?

1:18 because of the details. And the solid assortment of models available and to come!

4) What are some of your favourite models to date? Did you share any photos with us?

Lancia Delta Integrale, but I like all Lancia models.

5) Is there a model that has eluded you, a holy grail of sorts?

Yes, a Lancia ECV.

6) What is your favourite brand/manufacturer, and why?

AUTOart by far.  They present a great balance of quality and detail that surpasses the competition.

7) Describe your current theme and what your overall goal is?

To have the biggest Lancia collection in Europe.  I’ve been recognized locally for it thus far…

8) Do you display your collection? If yes, how?

As the provided photos will highlight, all my models are showcased in custom cabinets.  Truly a joy to see in person!

Football- what can be better!  I’m a HUGE fan of the  FC Barcelona team.

Collecting is a great escape from the mundane daily routine.  Collecting is a passion that fuels the mind.

As many have already stated over the years…  The prices for some diecast models are high.  In short, it is getting a bit ridiculous at times.

No, sorry.

13) What does your spouse, partner or significant other think of your hobby and your collection?

Friends and family are totally with me here; I have full support for my collection and passion for scale model collecting!

14) What is your daily driver?

At the moment, a Skoda Kodiaq!

Great collection you have there. I especially like the photos of that bright blue car with the gangster figures. Congratulations, Teodor! (P.S. : My late father emigrated from Romania to the United States in 1920 when 9 years old with his parents and siblings, so I have Romanian heritage myself!)

Thank you so much for your kind words and congratulations! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos of the blue Lancia and the gangster figures — they’re definitely a fun combination! 😊🙏

It’s wonderful to hear about your Romanian roots. Even though your father left Romania so long ago, it’s lovely that this connection is still part of your family story. Sending warm greetings from Romania, and thank you for being part of this special moment for my collection!

    Impressive collection!
I don’t know that much about Lancia but I guess you have Lancias from different drivers, years, etc. (as well as street versions). Commendable commitment.
I personnaly wait eagerly for the LC2 (winner 1000km of Spa) by TopMarques, the Spark version being almost impossible to find and waaaaay overpriced!

Thank you very much! You got it right — my collection covers Lancia’s history across different eras, from road cars and rally legends to racing prototypes and iconic concept cars.

As for the LC2, I was lucky enough to add both Spark versions to my collection, including the 1000 km of Spa winner you mentioned! They certainly weren’t cheap, and it took me three years to find them, but they were absolutely worth it!

If you’d like to see them, I’ve photographed both models and shared them on my Facebook and TikTok pages under TDCollectibles. 😊

That’s part of what makes collecting Lancia so rewarding — the history behind each model and the satisfaction of finally finding those special pieces!
