REVIEW: AUTOart 1982 Corvette Collector Edition

I’ve been on a quest the last few months to build up my Corvette collection.  Other than the Jada Corvette concept AUTOart owns the stable, and why not their assortment is very good and the quality so far has been outstanding!  The latest addition is another AUTOart release the 1982 Corvette Collector Edition.  Two things that attracted me to the Continue Reading...

REVIEW: Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

It’s Ferrari weekend on DiecastSociety.com, today I feature the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta from Hot Wheels Elite.  At first the initial press photos released by Hot Wheels Elite were a little lack lustre, instead maintaining steady course as per their two recent stellar releases as the 458 Italia Coupe and 458 GT2 I thought the team may be taking a Continue Reading...

REVIEW: Kyosho “Hi-End” Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 1995

A slew of new models arrived this week, the first to be photographed and reviewed is the new Kyosho “Hi-End” Ferrari F355  Berlinetta 1995.  When first announced back in September/October of last year I was as happy as a pig in shit, I’m sure many other collectors were too.  Maybe the sleeping giant (Kyosho) is back!  New Ferrari!!  But alas Continue Reading...

REVIEW: AUTOart Corvette Stingray Coupe 1963

This is the second of two Corvettes to arrive this week. I now present the 1963 C2 Corvette Stingray Coupe. The model here is manufactured by AUTOart, another limited edition release of 6000 units worldwide, which I have #952. I know I’ve used this description before, but its true, C2 in my opinion is sex on wheels. Super sexy body Continue Reading...

REVIEW: AUTOart Chevrolet Corvette 1970

Yes I’m on a Corvette binge to say the least lol…  A few more models arrived this week the first two to be officially reviewed is the 1970 Corvette Stingray C3 – Monza Red.  This is another AUTOart release from their Millennium Series, released back in 2011.  Car is a limited edition of 6000 units worldwide and comes with official Continue Reading...

REVIEW: AUTOart Pagani Zonda R

I purchased this Pagani Zonda R by AUTOart back in February 2011, it was highly anticipated by me and many others collectors at the time.  AUTOart had really never ventured into this territory of extreme details at $200 plus opening price point.  In retro spec this may have been the birth of what is nearing the norm for today.  Don’t Continue Reading...

REVIEW: AUTOart Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition

Personally I think this is my favourite Chevrolet Corvette platform to date, the C3. The C3 owns its lines to the 1965 Mako Shark II project designed by Larry Shinoda. The 1:18 scale 1978 reproduction model here is a 25th Anniversary edition manufactured by AUTOart. It was released in 2004 with the window style box and re-released again with the Continue Reading...

REVIEW: AUTOart Corvette Z06 C5

I believe the addition of the AUTOart C4 Corvette last month sparked my interest in the Corvette brand once again. I’ve made a decision to expand my collection to include more platforms form all eras, but they will remain non-livery and in coupe form wherever possible. The latest addition is the AUTOart C5 Corvette Z06. Purchased from a local seller/friend Continue Reading...
