Another movie inspired scale model will roll off the production line very soon from GreenLight Collectibles. New is the 1:18 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 – Terminator 2 Judgement Day. Limited access is permitted and the exterior is good old diecast metal. Look for this one later this summer.

My goodness. Why? i know we see that car in T2 but for about what 10-15 seconds? LOL! I have 6 of these GL Camaros already ranging from 1978 to 1981. I like them all, but GL really should concentrate on making other color combinations on these cars than picking everything up from movies. This Camaro is boring! Could have made the blue Z28 from the TV series “Stranger Things”, better colors and more relevant as it is. So better seller as well.
Simple. GL will make the best possible use of their moulds. They create excitement from various angles to target new and niche buyers, this one a perfect example of that. The model seems to work for them.
On that note, they should take the same spray paint color, use their Trans Am mold, and give us Jim Rockford’s 1977 Firebird Esprit. They’d have to shave off the rear spoiler, but shouldn’t be that hard to give us a car that was actually iconic!
