The big news of the day is the unveiling of the upcoming CMC Ferrari 275 GTB. This 1:18 scale, diecast metal, with full 360 access example promises all the bells and whistles the craftsmen at CMC can afford and then some. Note, this painted working prototype is NOT reflecting the overall quality and fit and finish of the final production piece. CMC’s mark is for late 2021 release date. Let’s hope it does come in time for Christmas!
Product# TBD
I realize these are early sample photos so I’ll really reserve judgement, criticisms and positive comments until I see a final production model. With that said, I do see some concerning issues in these two photos, but let’s see what CMC delivers.
I believe the quantity will be small and the price will rise rapidly
That is the usual theme with CMC :)
I believe the QUALITY is worth the price with all the bells and whistles. I’d rather pay whatever CMC is pricing this model at, as opposed to Polar Barony’s Panamera’s (north of) $700 cost that’s sealed with sub-par interior details.
To each their own, but yes, CMC does offer A LOT more!
“this painted working prototype is NOT reflecting the overall quality and fit and finish of the final production piece” Yeah, If the fit/finish/quality of the D50s are anything to go on, it will be worse. Not to brag of flex, but I am one of those fortunate people who can pretty much buy any model I want. However, I will NOT put up with being treated badly. I quit buying Exoto a good 10+ years ago over Tony jerking me around, and after those clowns at CMC USA Went out of their way to be difficult with me over QC issues with my D50, I stopped buying CMC products after CMC USA “punished” me for using my connections at CMC GMBH to get the problem(s) corrected. This car costs real money, and If I can’;t count on after-sale service, I will pass. CMC needs to fix their North American arm if they don’t want to end up like Exoto.
