MotorHelix is back with their popular 1:18, diecast and full access Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Z-tune Nismo, this time is shown in Silver. The production units are noted as 999 with arrival in July 2022. Retail is around the $400 CND mark.

Motorhelix is a weird company. They originally listed a retail price of ~$270 USD for this, which seems like decent value for what you get. But then you go to the website and the model is not even listed there. Instead you’re directed to weird retailers I’ve never heard of, who are asking $480-600 USD (!) for the model. The web store claims to be in Canada but charges USD. I bet you the model is shipped to you from China. Even on their instagram page they’re offering this in their stories for $450 with captions like “today’s special price”. It all just stinks, it feels like they’re creating this artificial scarcity and I’m not impressed with these shady tactics. I’d rather wait for the Autoart Z-tune, but I would have liked to maybe add one of these just for fun, but not at the $500 USD mark, that’s insane.
It seems the see what sticks to the wall pricing-wise is now encompassing on this hobby too.
292 euros? hard pass, level of detail on this model just doesn’t justify that price

I’ve been preordered and waiting this model for already 9 months, good to know is finally coming, I think many store overprice this because it is already sold out, same for , but is still weird that motorhelix didn’t post this piece on their website
