While I’ve been desperately waiting for a US version of the 450SL to finish off my Mercedes SL series collection, I’ll be waiting for another color. What an awful color combo.
For some reason they decided to replicate the car from a tv show of the early 80’s. We watched it on TV here in Italy when I was a child, a long time ago :)
Yes, Giorgio is right, this U.S. spec SL is based on the car driven by the hero and heroine couple of the TV series „Hart to Hart“, hence the registration on the car and the colour.
I will probably stick with my good old silver Minichamps/Paul´s Model Art 300 SL Gullwing.
I have the Roadster in red by Minichamps, I didn’t expect these 300sl models by Norev, and I will pass on them. On the other hand I’m still waiting for the 1:18 Gullwing by Schuco. It’s been in their catalouge as a coming soon release for 2 years already, but it has a few details that could make it pretty interesting. By the way the gullwing by Norev seems like an overall better model compared to the old PMA, especially if compared to their last release which, if I’m not mistaken, only had opening doors.
