I’m just wondering: how many months will this brass/copper surface stand without the green patina? As my experience shows, one may be lucky enough to not have the patina up to 2-3 years, but once it appears, it then always retuans back whatever you do.

True, will look like a rotting barn-find. Very authentic!

I wonder if they spray the individual components with some sort of transparent varnish to protect them from oxidation or corrosion that may develop when parts made of different metals are assembled together.

  2. The brass version of the chassis is also available in a painted version. The models are very stable and very well packaged. I think Martisan has done a very good job here and you can enjoy it for a long time, also because you always discover something new.

Seems there’s no displacement difference between the pistons.
I thought they would show that because there’s a functionnal crankshaft/driveshaft/gearbox/differencial.

Anyway, it’s not like I’ll be able to afford such a model.
