Interesting! Nice to see a company (any company for that matter) venture out and obtaining licenses from companies that they normally don’t work with. In this case, a company that works with primarily American car manufacturers has obtained licensing for a Japanese car company! Hopefully they venture out even more and go into European cars too.

And please Greenlight, give us a 1:18 version of Marty McFly’s 1985 Toyota SR5 4×4!! Please please please!!

    1:18
    New Land Cruiser 250
    1970 Land Cruiser FJ55
    2024 New Tacoma TRD
    2024 New 4Runner

Although I’m not exactly thrilled with Greenlight’s quality, I would like to see a 1:18 model of the current Toyota Prius, as no one else has made one!

  4. Josip Jedvaj says:

Would love to see MR2 AW11 and SW20, Celica ST185 and ST205, 1985 SR5 Xtra Cab in black, Yaris TS XP10, Sera, Supra A70, IQ.

    • Aaron says:

Definitely onboard with the 1993 & 1994 WRC Celicas. As long as they are fully opening 1/18 and have working flip-up headlights

  5. HENRY CHEN says:

I would love to see the following Toyota cars and trucks in 1:18:

    Toyota Sequoia XK60 in white
Toyota Sera in any color (a very cool coupe with butterfly doors)
Toyota RAV4 1st generation 3-Door hardtop (the car that started the compact crossover craze)
Toyota Hilux N50 in red (the truck immortalized by Top Gear as indestructible)

Knowing Greenlight’s past history with 1:18 cars (tends to produce cars for from the 1960’s to late 1980’s, with a specific bias towards cars that appear in famous movies or TV shows), I think many requesting more modern cars (myself included) will be disappointed.

We would be lucky to get a 1980’s Toyota truck (Back to The Future). Perhaps a 1980’s Celica Supra can be in the cards as well. Maybe a 1970’s Celica? Sadly, I wouldn’t expect beyond that, Heck, we would be lucky just to get that!

As for 1:64 scale, I think this is where we could see the modern day Tacoma’s, Supra’s, Tundra’s, etc.might see lots of stuff from Toyota’s golden years (1990’s) as well.
