Another year brings another round of DiecastSociety.com’s Model of the Year voting! While 2025 didn’t deliver an overwhelming number of standout releases, the year wasn’t without its surprises. If one brand deserves special recognition, it’s Norev—their dramatic leap in quality, all while keeping prices reasonable, is something rarely seen in our hobby. In fact, three of their models earned a well-deserved spot on this year’s list.
A notable shoutout also goes to the LCD Pagani Huayra R. If you managed to secure a flawless example, you’re holding one of the strongest contenders for the 2025 crown. The detail is nothing short of intoxicating.
If we missed a model that truly impressed you this year, feel free to comment below—your insights help shape the community’s conversation. Most of the entries already feature a full review or, at a minimum, a photo gallery for you to explore.
Best of luck to all the candidates, and stay tuned—we’ll announce the winner in early 2026. Happy holidays, folks!
As always, it’s your turn to decide which models reign supreme. Each collector has 3 votes, so make them count! Be sure to check the legend below for details on vehicle types and pricing to guide your decisions.

Hallo there.
I think that McLaren MP4/4 is by Premium Y is not new this year but just a re-release, since I have the same model for a longer time.
Further, you should add there Ferrari 126 CK no. 27 of J. Villeneuve made by GP Replicas in 1/18, I mean the version with removing whole top part and removing nose. So far, it was produced only from 1981 GP Monaco (see https://www.ebay.com/itm/187741648762?_skw=1%2F18+gp+replicas+Ferrari+126+CK+1981+Villeneuve&itmmeta=01KAR0JZ9221JJQ83RFER01PKA&hash=item2bb646377a:g:sLQAAeSwnWNo-LEk&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAABEFkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1dUAXBQOQHnBsSHgPAcFaw7d3MNlfNAnITrCNDr87%2BOqfsOdnxZPh70794wmCWu9Hl9q8cX6RbuD4TKnPbgUVJbJrtbxH7Gvjz051BhNocAis9SNuiDD5Vw2lQ0dQREXcRFAbkLeorKBhXUgE7VBnWa8ZH5dWxw%2BQf53d11AnEkD6tqPpSnWolZg70OLm1AhZgHvwAAK9hMoQtMHFBdmfin4lkh%2BkabGOX5rvG4dqziaiAYPSvFJmA4wwDAuUo%2BYEZXtqW9KFn9z0rYRs65Q4dA9eAPPyfYtK8iNun%2F1L4xeO6d6Su1TnLVDlIRQ7XNXzJyecQNsuaj1ARun2GfRlm%2F%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9b0y4DWZg ), but other two race versions should come, and all the versions should come also with driver figurine.
You also forgotten Honda Civic EK9 by MotorHelix in 1/18. It was done in several version, the best one, n opinion, is the Mugen version
Hi, thanks for the feedback. We actually had the GPR model on the list, but we were under the impression it did not hit the market. We’ll add it to the list.
Out of all the cars that have come out this year, not a single one I would vote for is on the list.. lol!
Weird! Like what model? 1:18 scale? Niche field of interest? Give examples!
Yes, curious minds would like to know!
Are these models worth an addition to this year’s list?
1:18 AUTOart McLaren F1 MP4/6 1991
1:18 MotorHelix Honda Integra Type R (DC2)
In the past, I believe the AUTOart McLaren F1 MP4/6 1991 would have been in the Signature line up, as the model is pretty detailed.
The MH Honda Integra Type R is pretty well executed as well IMHO.
Yes, however, neither made the short list. The AUTOart McLaren F1 MP4/6 1991 has seen many iterations over the years – and they have two solid models listed in the 2025 list.
I would add Motorhelix Nissan GT-R R35 T Spec.
It was on the radar! In the end, the team thought it wasn’t a polished piece and pushed early to market based on other efforts from the team.
