REVIEW: AUTOart Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS | 1:18

AUTOart’s Porsche 911 GT3 RS Weissach Package in Lizard Green is a model that immediately asserts its presence. The colour alone feels engineered to provoke a reaction: bold, extroverted, and unapologetically vibrant. It mirrors the real car’s personality with remarkable precision, and among the latest batch of releases, this was the configuration that demanded attention. The shade is polarizing by design, but that’s exactly what makes it so effective—it captures the eye instantly and refuses to blend into the background.

From a fidelity standpoint, the model performs exceptionally well. The stance is accurate to the real GT3 RS, with proportions, ride height, and wheel positioning that reflect careful reference work and tight manufacturing tolerances. The paint application is smooth and consistent across the entire body, showing no signs of unevenness or surface imperfections. The contrast between the bright green exterior and the dark carbon‑fiber components creates a striking visual dynamic that enhances the model’s aggressive character.

The interior continues this high standard of execution. AUTOart has reproduced the Weissach Package details with impressive precision: the branding on the headrests is crisp, the seatbelts look appropriately scaled and textured, and the rear roll cage is cleanly moulded with no visible flaws. These micro‑details contribute significantly to the model’s authenticity and elevate it beyond a simple display piece.

Functionally, the model is equally well‑constructed. All opening components operate smoothly, with hinges that feel controlled rather than loose or fragile. Panel gaps are tight and consistent, reinforcing the sense of quality craftsmanship. Even the fine mesh used in the vents adds a premium touch, demonstrating attention to detail in areas that many manufacturers overlook.

Honestly, it’s a total home run for AUTOart. It’s absolutely stunning, and I have zero complaints—just pure satisfaction. Take my money!

First off, thank you for another solid contribution to the website. Your photography skills are a notch above the rest. You capture the essence of the 911 and the Lizard Green exterior so beautifully. And, may we add, it goes well with the DS theme!

The model does shine, and AUTOart can execute, especially on the base elements of a model… The hardest decision here is what colour to pick. Some good options offered by AUTOart too!

I’m happy to contribute again. While I agree with Sean that this is a top-tier contender for model of the year, I did notice a few minor discrepancies in the interior compared to the real car (also noticed by Sean). Specifically, the seat stitching and textures lack some depth, and the Weissach branding on the headrests is white rather than color-matched to the Lizard Green exterior. That said, these are very minor points that certainly aren’t deal-breakers for such an impressive piece.

Fantastic photos, thank you for sharing! Really think this is a contender for model of the year.

Awesome, however my favourite is laguna blue colour, especially with grey rims. Really hard to decide on any model. AA did a good job
