About the BMW M3 DTM Augusto Farfus… “Farfus entered the DTM 2012 season with BMW. As in his previous season in the WTCC Farfus chose to drive the DTM together with Priaulx for Team Racing Bart Mampaey. During his second race on the EuroSpeedway Lausitz Farfus achieved, by finishing in third position, his first spot on the podium. Once Farfus started achieving points in the races that followed, he won his first DTM race in Valencia. During this season he achieved in total three podium placings and two pole positions. He concluded his debut season with the title of best rookie in seventh overall position. Continuing his partnership with Racing Bart Mampaey, Farfus stayed with the racing team for the 2013 DTM season and received a new team colleague with the arrival of Joey Hand. By winning the season opener in Hockenheim, he took the lead in the drivers%u2019 classification. However, he lost his leading position quickly by not even crossing the finish line during the second race. Nonetheless he continued his winning streak in Oschersleben and directly thereafter in Zandvoort. Herewith he prematurely secured himself the second overall position outshone only by Mike Rockenfeller who ranked first overall. Farfus was awarded best BMW driver. 2014 marked Farfus%u2019 third completion of the DTM season for RBM. Finishing the season with second position and a place on the podium, he ended his third season thirteenth in the overall ranking.”
