GMP New 1988 Ford Mustang GT – NYPD Street Patrol

Fans of service vehicles may gravitate to the latest offering from GMP.  The 1:18 Ford Mustang GT – New York City Police Department (NYPD) Street Patrol car will be coming January 2016.  Vivid NYPD livery and detailed muscle underneath the bonnet may prove too hard to resist.  Suggested retail is $139.95US.

About the Ford Mustang GT NYPD… “Operation Hermes was the Queens District Attorney’s and NYPD’s answer to an out of control street racing problem in the New York City borough of Queens. By adding street racing to the list of Quality of Life issues in 1997-98 the 20 police officers went undercover to infiltrate the scene. Using video surveillance they eliminated the action on Francis Lewis Boulevard and other area street racing zones. The Quality of Life laws allowed the city to impound cars and keep them. This Mustang was acquired in that dragnet and is still actively used on patrol and in public relation events.”
