GT Spirit New Mercedes-Benz AMG S 65 – Silver

GT Spirit is unveiling their new 1:18 Mercedes-Benz AMG S 65 in Sliver.  A shame this model is currently only being made available in sealed resin.  I guess my AMG collection will sit idle for the moment. The Mercedes-Benz AMG S 65 is scheduled for May 2016 release.  No word on production numbers at this time.

I’m starting to not like that all the good models are coming in resin form

    • DS Team says:

      You and me both!

    • JS Coleman says:

      Yes indeed.

AUTOart’s S-Class (sorry, Maybach) is made in composite, and the alternative is made in resin. What is happening?

Will no one be bothered anymore to make models which actually feature the opening parts which add that extra touch of realism?

      Shame on you all.

Could we stop whining over every new sealed model please? If they didn’t sell, they wouldn’t be making them. Resin is here to stay. Period. Get over it.

I’m with you….while I was initially against resin….after I got my first few GT Spirit models, I was quickly won over. As my collection sits in sealed cabinets and I have NEVER displayed models with doors, trunks, hoods open, I have no real complaints with sealed resin. I guess If i liked to continually fiddle with my collection (opening/closing doors and such, or wanted to continually change the way they were displayed, I’d complain about resin. As it stands, I think that a resin model is not all that different when simply displayed…..I mean, its not like I can shrink myself down and get in and out of the thing and drive it! LOL
