Fans of the Ferrari marque might look into Kyosho’s new 1:12 scale Ferrari Testarossa. The exterior is done in Ferrari Red. Overall detail looks promising, but we suggest they slightly lower the overall ride height, just a tiny weeny bit! The Ferrari Testarossa is completed in resin and features closed-body design. Model is scheduled for December 2016 release. Suggested retail is targeted at $399US

$400 for resin closed body ?? No thanks.
Who buys these resin models??? There has to be people who do! But for me, a closed model, with no opening features, ( I suppose the front wheels don’t even steer, or even roll?) this for 400$, don’t cut it. Ok make them from resin all you like, but I need the features! Until that happens, I’m going to hang on to my old school opening, steering and rolling 1:12 and 1:18s forever! If that trend goes on, watch the prices of the (new and used) traditional diecast rise even more in the not so distant future.
I don’t mind the price as much as I do those horrible rims. If you’re going to make an expensive, sealed model. The rest better be damn good for people to buy it.
