The flood gates have opened with the 2017 installment of the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. The show doesn’t officially start until tomorrow and AUTOart is already releasing a number of new images of what is expected throughout 2017. Our team will breaking down their assortment into three categories, they include Race, Street, Sport/Supercar and 1:12 Scale. First out of the gate for AUTOart’s Sport/Supercar assortment is the stunning Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport. The feature sees the Watkins Glen Grey Metallic – Black Stripes with Blue Fender Hash Marks. The Lamborghini Huracan Police car is a surprise, if we’re not mistaken past platforms featuring the police livery weren’t a popular choice among collectors. Maybe we’re wrong. Both Corvette and Lamborghini come from AUTOart’s composite series of models.

Finally! The 991 GT3 RS with opening bits… I might as well have a plastic car than a resin, sealed one.
I know! One of our personal favorites! I can sell my Spark resin piece now!
The RS is also listed by Minichamps at EUR 90 on their site. Currently the Lava Orange, Ultra Violet and Birch Green with black graphics are pre orderable. Not sure if they have opening parts but the hand sample pics do look like they have opening parts. This is gonna get interesting! As they say, when it rains, it pours! :)

It’s listed, unfortunately they released no sample images. HOPEFULLY that doesn’t mean we’ll see it is 2020.

Why not? People pay 300 Euro for sealed resin. The advantage is AUTOart, no?
Exactly my thought! I have the BBR C7 Corvette which is sealed, It has impeccable finish but no opening bits, obviously, but also no rolling wheels and no underside detail. I have the AA C7 Z06 also, which is not far behind for finish but it does open up, has chassis detail, has terrific shut lines and sells for half the price! That said, I hope I’m not seeing a supercharged engine in that Grand Sport! The Grand Sport Corvette looks like a Z06 but with the LT1 as motivation, not the LT4 as in the Z06.
Oh, yes, the rims on the Grand Sport Corvette are also wrong, the one shown sports Z06 rims… I hope this is only a paint test piece or a lot more people will stay away than they did with their Z06 models.
The paintjob seems nice, doesnt look like composite. But yeah you are right, I hope they’ll change the rims and the spoiler. Thats not the GrandSport Spoiler to me, Z06 piece too imo. And a detachable roof would be nice too ;D
Very excited about the Bugatti La Finale, but the red carbon fiber seems way too dark compared to the actual car. Hopefully they are able to adjust it!
I gotta admit I’m a bit bummed that they didn’t do the Koenigsegg AGERA R w/extended spoiler. That would’ve been sweet. So too would’ve been the Jaguar F-Type SVR w/spoiler and in ULTRA BLUE.
The Corvette has the wrong engine and rims (both from Z06, but Grand Sport is different), but i have pointed out Autoart. This is the answer: “You’re correct, we will contact Chevrolet since they approved the sample without mentioning rims or engine were wrong. We will ask for new CAD-data so we can correct it.”
Unbelievable! How is that possible?
I don’t really get how mistakes of this nature can happen. Both parties should have people who would check that everything is correct before signing ’em off. Either Chevrolet gave AA accurate CAD data & AA fumbled with their samples or vice versa
