Just saw a real E-Type today next to my office and I can say that this model’s dashboard is simply ridiculous, so as the shift lever and the steering wheel. How can they do such a terrible job like this in a 1/12 model?
Eduardo’s right – it’s a very poor job; and the shift lever is even worse!
And look at the dash. The interior of this toy s ridiculous. This could be out of a 1/43 scale car!
True! I don´t see how anyone can want this E-Type. A 1/18 AUTOart is so much more detailed and credible than this.
How about somebody, who just want ´BIG´ E -type on display for kind of a decent money ? Just my thought.
The E-Type is an iconic design. I have one of the GT Spirit “standard edition” models of this in gun metal gray with red interior. It is a great display piece. Overall this is a very accurate model ; definitely the most accurate body shape of this car made in any scale by anyone. But…. the model does have two noticeable problems. I have to agree with everyone about the interior, which is much too simple and toy-like. I have 1:43 models with better interiors! The tires are also slightly undersized – sidewall height. The tires should be a little taller.
Sorry, but this model is not in the same post code as that of the 1/18 AUTOart. It does look pretty good, but I don’t agree with it being the most accurate body shape in any scale by anyone!? Not to mention the XK engine detail of the AA Signature model is incredible. I have to agree with the other comments that the interior looks like a kids toy and the 3 wipers should be sitting on the bottom of the windshield, not standing out like they do which really offends my eye.
