From their Masterpiece Collection comes the stunning 1:12, diecast, 1966 LeMans Winning Ford GT40. The new release will mirror the original from what our sources say. The relaunch celebrates the 50th anniversary of the LeMans story, with only 750 pieces going into production. The Ford GT40 is due this December. I hope they re-release 1/18 Corvettes. I’ve got roadster in red, that was perhaps restored by previous owner, one side the suspension is glued hard together, another side it moves like it should. Nevertheless, it’s beautiful, beautiful model and I’m so happy I’ve swapped AutoArt’s roadster by this.
But I’d love to have coupe as well, and if they can have more colours of roadster, like blue metallic with white roof… I’m all in.
I can sold you mine ILKA :-) I have blue metallic coupe, basically brand new, although it was out of the box, but never on display, but these GMP Vettes have lots of issues as we all know, all who had good relationships with sellers at that time. So there are blisters on paint here and there, but I can send you photos off course. And a note, Im from central Europe, so overseas shipping…

I’m in! And I’ll be all in when (if) the 1969 Gulf version ever comes out too! The only point I could critic is the rear wheel width and depth compared to front, they should be wider, but else than that, I think it’s all good.
This is incredible news! On top of the revival of GMP’s Masterpiece line, it seems that GMP are back :) In this scale I can have only one GT40, and I agree with Robert that the Gulf version is the must-have GT40.
I hope GMP/ACME decide to also release the Ferraris (330 P4, 412 P, 512 M, 312 PB) in 1/12 scale with maximum detail level. All must-haves for me!
Following on my previous comment about the rear wheels being too shallow, they are! The first release of the GT40 MkII had rear wheels with the correct depth. I almost pulled the trigger on a pre-order but if this mistake is not corrected for production It will prevent me from buying. Could someone actually contact GMP and confirm what is going to happen with this issue?
