TOP Marques is back again this evening with news of a 1:12 Ferrari 250 TR. We don’t know the exact livery or colours, or will a race or presentation replica be made? What we can share is the the expected release date, spring of 2018. Also the TOP Marques team states “going to set new standards”. We assume they are speaking to the model itself, but the initial image while good isn’t anything we haven’t seen before.

I wonder what “standards” they are referring to? This model might be good, or great, or…. might be terrible. So far some of it is good, and some if it is wrong. Modeling the 250 Testa Rossa… any variant is difficult. Numerous changes and differences between almost every one of the real cars. I know it’s too early to really tell or critique, but I’m not impressed with the engine bay and interior. But I am eager to see what they do and will hope for good results.
To start with, at 1:12 scale, the wire wheels will not cut it, CMC had real wire wheels already on their Testarossa (or any of their classic Ferrari) at 1:18 scale… That pretty much already set the standard. Top that, “Top” Marques!
