GP Replicas Michele Alboreto Ferrari F1 87/88C

More Formula One goodness from GP Replicas.  The team unveils the painted sample of their upcoming Ferrari F1 87/88C, driver Michele Alboreto.  The sample is hinting at 1:18 scale, but with GP Replicas spotty details anything is possible.  Enjoy!

If only that was the 1985 model along with his Swedish teammate Stefan Johansson, I’d be in heaven. Along with the rotating and steering wheels too that is

    • SD says:

Looksmart is making your Ferrari 156/85…only likely the Alboreto version though.

      • Aaron says:

Except I don’t care about Looksmart especially since the wheels don’t rotate and steer. No rolling wheels is a big dealbreaker for me. At least GP is making their wheels on their 1:18 F1 car’s operable

In fact, if it was GP Replicas that was doing the 1978 Ferrari 312 T3, instead of Looksmart, I’d be quick to order one ASAP

        • SD says:

While I’d prefer rolling and steerable wheels too, I’m just curious with this dealbreaker for you ? I have a single Looksmart model (the Patrese Alfa) and the wheels and tires are an absolute high point despite being non-steerable

I’m used to collecting diecast when it was common for all 1/18 models being made had rolling wheels. Without any working parts of any kind, despite the fact models are usually meant to be just for display, it defeats the purpose of its use and existence. In my opinion that is

Looks like 1:18 judging from the thickness of parts like the spoilers. Could be wrong though.
