I hope that the Jaguar is a prototype and that it must still be modified… because that dashboard is horrible!! :-D

  2. George K says:

Geez- The instrument panel on that Jag is a Joke, Right? 1/12 and thus pop a sticker of an instrument panel onto it? No thanks- I thought it might be nice to have a 1/12 E-Type until I saw that crap.

I am very wellcoming the ABT RS5-R, I just felt that will be an upcoming release from GTS this year and here it is. Also, the red Porsche 911 Targa is a nice looking one. What I am not appreciating at every Shelby modell from GTS is the silver painted front grill which is the weak part of every Shelby modelcar, they should change it with a solid metal grill, like TopMarques do at so many modelcars.

You can always rely on GT Spirit for a good laugh. The shape and proportions of that Miura are hilariously bad. How do they keep getting their models so horribly wrong?

  5. MLB says:

Their new 1:12th releases all have problems. I think they should just stick to 1:18 scale which they seem to produce decent models for the money.

I was briefly excited when I saw three great choices pictured… all in 1:12 scale. Ferrari Daytona Spyder, Lamborghini Miura, and Jaguar E-Type Roadster. Looking at the GT Spirit photos, it is all too easy to see that ALL three of them have bodies with shape problems, various detail mistakes, and interior detailing on each looks like a cheap toy… like a Barbie doll plastic toy car. If they had been good I would be ordering all three, but all are a no sale for me. It really is a shame. With a little more effort, and knowledge about these cars they could have been worthwhile. The people at GT Spirit are clueless, and it appears they only care about cranking out models like a sausage factory.

  6. Roberto says:

Happy to see the Sonoma green Audi (although the wheels look awkwardly small). I do agree with some of the previous commenters frustrations. Otto/ GTS consistently screw up the shape or important details on their cars. Sometimes it’s minor and I’ll buy the model despite it because it’s a unique subject matter, but other times it’s egregious (Giulia QF). Why can’t they fix this?? With CAD it should be relatively simple.

    • spikyone says:

I don’t get it either. Even without CAD data, you only have to have working eyes to see how bad some of their models are. The Miura looks like a kit car copy.
I can overlook small issues where the rest of a model is good – TSM’s 95 McLaren comes to mind, it’s a beautiful model despite the detail errors – but there is no excuse for getting the overall shape wrong. It’s even worse with sealed models, because if the shape is wrong, what else do you have? GTS/Otto seem to get a free pass because of their populist subject matter, when the models themselves are little more than overpriced toys.

  7. BA says:

The grill on the RS6 looks to narrow, and the headlights to big.

  8. SPhilli911 says:

Nice, can’t wait for the Porsche 3.0 RS. I never did have the chance to get the Spark version of the car.

  9. Wildman Bradley says:

I just dont understand all the hate in this thread! GTS releases great pieces in 1:18 scale..i do wish the gts would have choosen a different color for their Ford GT 350. Its still a gorgeous piece..The Red porsch RS is stunning also..

    • DS Team says:

Hate is a strong word. I think individuals are just pointing out some of the inaccuracies. In the end, we want GTS to do people.

      • Wildman Bradley says:

You all want GTS to do people or do well? Hahaha..GTS is a fantastic brand. We ought to be grateful that we have a company that produces the products they do in the price ranges we see.. They are the best bang for your buck regarding resin pieces.. Much better then that plastic toy company called Autoart…
