BBR Unveils Ferrari F80 1:18 Prototype! (UPDATE)

** UPDATE ** We added the official colour list and model number for the Ferrari F80.

Seems BBR is harder at work than Amalgam, as they have a fully painted prototype of their version of the 1:18 resin and sealed new Ferrari F80! The results this far look tempting. Could this be a possible future diecast and opening release? We think so! Other scales in addition to 1:18 are already in the works! The official BBR press release is shared below.

P18253A – Ferrari F80 Rosso Corsa(wheels silver)
P18253A1 – Ferrari F80 optional carbon Rosso Corsa  (bi-colour wheels carbon/silver)
P18253B Ferrari F80 optional carbon Giallo Tristrato (wheels silver)
P18253B1 Ferrari F80 optional carbon Giallo Modena (wheels carbon)
P18253H Ferrari F80 optional carbon Rosso Supercar bi-colour (wheels carbon/silver)

BBR is proud to present the world premiere of the Ferrari F80 model. The sample is a 1/18 scale model, but BBR is working on other sizes, from 1/12 to 1/43 and 1/64. In close collaboration with the Ferrari Style Center, BBR designed and developed the model in record time, entirely in its Italian headquarters. In addition, BBR will make available a version with an exclusive special pack for the vintage car show, Retromobile from 5 to 9 February 2025. The limited edition available in Paris will be made in 100 pieces made entirely in Italy and not pre-orderable.

On 17 October 2024, Ferrari with the F80 revolutionized the sports car with the first electric motor entirely designed, tested and produced in Maranello. The MGU-K electric motor derives directly from the experience gained by Ferrari in the world of racing. Various components derive from the powertrain of the 499P, winner of the 2023 and 2024 editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The exterior design of the F80 has a very strong futuristic impact and a clear reference to the aerospace industry. The generous S-Duct that characterizes the central part of the bonnet of the F80 hides a triple-element wing (triplane) that directs the front flow towards the rear wing to generate maximum aerodynamic load. The cockpit is inspired by a Formula 1 single-seater in an unprecedented solution that has made the driver the absolute protagonist, transforming the F80 into a ‘1+’.
