This one is a lovely add for fans of sport or super cars, LCD Model has confirmed they will produce the 1:18 diecast and opening Honda NSX (MK1) NA1 . Colour options are four, they include: Black, White, and Red and Yellow. The first production sample will starting arriving in Q4 2025. If this model is based after the AUTOart release as some suspected the McLaren F1 was, it should be stellar!
Product# A/LCD1802 – D/LCD1802
I was kind of expecting that either LCD or MotorHelix would consider the iconic Honda NSX in die-cast.
Looking at how good LCD’s Toyota Supra is, we may expect very good details in the upcoming Honda NSX, even if it will be based on AutoArt’s version. Anyway, we can definitely expect a more realistic-looking interior, comparing to the standard grey hard plastic by AutoArt.
Initial thoughts:
– Panel gaps are bad, frunk and front bumper are tragic.I hope the production version fixes that.
– Shiny wheels strike again. LCD is weirdly attached to this chrome-y wheel paint, they need to stop this.
– front blinkers look a tad too short to my eyes and generally weird.I can see mounting pegs. Would be good to rework these.
And the car’s in a desperate need of a set of wheels. It’s amazing how much better NSX looks on a set of proper wheels and a bit lowered compared to a stock one. I wish LCD churned out a tuned version of it but looking at their previous releases there’s a slim chance for this to happen. It would be better off at Motorhelix stable.
Well the AUTOart one is the Type R version, hence the different wheels and maybe the lower stance.
The panel gaps makes this NSX look more like the Kyosho casting than the Autoart, i do hope the actual model will have panel gaps more like the Autoart casting if this is based on the AutoArt mold.
If you need a better option, find an AUTOart. One of the best examples in recent years.
