Coinciding with the final chapter of GT-R production, Motorhelix has unveiled its latest release – the Nissan Skyline GT-R R35 T-Spec in the now-iconic Millennium Jade. This is more than just a model; it feels like a tribute to the end of an era, and Motorhelix once again delivers with the level of execution collectors have come to expect.
At first glance, the presentation is striking. The Millennium Jade paintwork is finished with exceptional finesse, capturing the unique depth and sheen of the original. Subtle details elevate the piece further: finely rendered carbon-fibre textures, properly perforated grilles, and crisp panel lines that underscore Motorhelix’s attention to detail. The engine bay, while not accompanied by the additional miniature engine and suspension bracket seen in previous MH releases, still stands out as one of the more impressive executions in this segment. The omission comes with a silver lining, however—Motorhelix has adjusted the pricing slightly, with the model now sitting around $250, a figure that positions it just above AUTOart’s counterpart but still well within reason, given the craftsmanship.
The R35 T-Spec comes equipped with two undercarriage guards (engine and rear differential) and is complemented by a collector’s booklet that offers context and detail on the T-Spec itself—a thoughtful touch for enthusiasts who value the storytelling aspect of these releases. When compared to AUTOart, both models will inevitably be measured against each other. While AUTOart may hold a slight advantage in certain areas, Motorhelix’s overall refinement, paint execution, and presentation continue to raise the bar and reinforce its reputation for delivering models that balance artistry with authenticity.
Thank you, José, for sharing your thoughts and photos of another stellar effort from MotorHelix! Your command of the camera seems effortless, and please excuse our limited editing of additional lighting.
Always a pleasure guys, happy to contribute with you all!
With these phantastic photos of another briiliant model by Motorhelix I almost regret not collecting Japanese cars. Thanks, Jose, for watering a great many mouths!
LOL, you and me both!
I wouldn’t even compare it against the AA cause they haven’t made the facelift yet. Not even sure if they will. I own(ed) 15-16 MH models so far and apart from some unfortunate QC issues, they’re mostly great. I don’t have an R35 yet as they haven’t yet made a version I like and I don’t think the MJ is accurate (too beige and not green enough) but maybe one of the future releases.
The color will never be accurate in a phone/desktop screen as seen in person, parameters like lighting and color temperature, color profile and space, affects the image when seen in a web browser. I can’t compare the color with the AA model because i don’t have it but i can assure that the paintwork is excellent!
Very true! Even your monitor will affect the colour accuracy.
I know the colour very well and have painted before and I can tell you it’s not MJ. MH in general are not good at nailing paint, AA is better with that. For example, their MNP3 R34 – the MH is too flaky and has some weird hues while AA is spot on. They’re still a new “young” brand and figuring things out. And unless you’re an enthusiast you wouldn’t know the difference anyway.
The R35 isn’t pretty in the traditional sense, but your photos absolutely are! I’ll still need to see that jade shade in person though.
Thanks mate! Beauty is subjective lol
Color is awesome. I’d love to see GT-R Nismo GT3 as well
