PHOTO GALLEY: LCD Models Pagani Huayra R (Black Carbon)

The LCD Pagani Huayra R has been reviewed here at the beginning of the year, so no review is required. A full nine months later, and its full carbon sibling is born. For me, it had to be this version to go with its daddy, the Autoart Zonda R (cf. family photo). LCD supply roundels with all 10 digits as stickers for you to choose and apply, but as my Zonda R is not the Nürburgring Record version, I keep the Huayra R without roundels too.

Of course, with LCD models, you always have to hold your breath, whether it will be undamaged. Some retailers even go as far as warning the customers before buying that this model is bound to have damage and that they are unwilling to accept returns. But as far as I can see, the stupid price I paid to enjoy my customer rights has pays off. I am utterly blown away by this model !!!

Are we seeing our Model of the Year 2025 here?

What a stellar model and solid photos! Yes, their biggest hurtles are quality control and manufacturing enough stock to meet the demand. LCD Models will be in the running for DS Model of the Year!

Even just from the photos, you can tell the level of detail in this model is impressive. For now yes, it’s safe to say this is the model of the year. And over here, I’m still patiently (or maybe impatiently) waiting for mine in blue.

The reason for the QC issues is that unlike Autoart they still use basic techniques like decals applied by hand. So variation in skill from worker to worker can lead to folds, wrinkles, and peeling of the decal along with the clear coat right off the body. BUT that’s how they’re able to keep the prices down. Paying workers is still cheaper than investing into tampo printing. And to be honest decal with clear coat over it still looks glossier than a tampo print. Only negative about that is the clear coat above the decal assumes the texture of the decal, which is why if you look under the light, the clear is not quite smooth.

Still no word about what Koenigseggs we can expect from LCD.

    • Sponge says:

They showed some samples a few weeks ago of the 1:43 (or maybe 1:64) CC850, Jesko Attack & Absolut and Agera RS as well (not sure about this one)

      • Aaron says:

I’ve already begun to assume they are not gonna make the one model I’ve always desired seeing in fully opening 1/18: AGERA R. That’s the only Koenigsegg I’m interested and it will be disappointing to not see that being done

Yes unfortunately with LCD models , we have to hold our breath whether it will be undamaged.
Is there any CQ at that comoany?

May be get the AUTOart Huayra R instead of the LCD one 50 years later😃🙄

The only thing I was worried about in the earlier photos was the rear rise height. They seemed too tall in the beginning, but the look of these photos it seems to have been sorted. I’m still waiting on mine to arrive but can’t wait now.
