It’s that time of year where we review the best of the best for 2019. We want to hear from you, each collector, each fan! What model tickled your fancy best in 2019? This does not mean the most expensive or the largest scale. In true scale model passion, we want to know what model spoke to YOU best?
We comprised a list of some of our favourites throughout the year, we’re sure there are more. So please, post your favourite (s). Please include Brand, vehicle, and scale. The final candidate list will be narrowed down to the top 10-15 models. Voting will take place from mid-December through January 2020. Good luck to all!

I heard from chinese collectors who already got their AR Brabus 550 that many of these models have problems with quality control. Let’s pray for ours to be perfect!
We received ours, it is issue free!
No need for further entries to my mind. This list includes all my favourites. However, I would exclude models that don’t become available before voting starts, e.g. the CMC Mercedes Pullman. Will AUTOart’s Huayra BC make it in time?
A few units of CMC Mercedes Pullman have already been delivered so it is technically released but until we see more of them (and they can be reviewed) it make sense to exclude them.
Really?
Yes, my friends in China already got their CMC Pullman
Yes in China. I saw posts and pictures from retailers.
Agreed. We have the AUTOart in route, review should be available before year’s end. CMC MB in not presently on the list.

Thanks. We don’t believe the AUTOart K One:1 was relased this year.
This list, which is a good sample, illustrates just how far this hobby has fallen over the last decade. :(
Did nothing spark your interest in 2019?
Bought a few Classic Carlectables, Biante and the BMC Jimny this year.
While both Classic Carlectables and Biante were definitely awesome models to add, I think only the Jimny deserves the nomination here. The front fascia does not fully capture the full-Jimny-ness (I think AUTOart’s future release will definitely nail this part), it is the working suspensions and other bits and pieces that won me over.
I think the Jimny faces stiff competition from the LCDs… :-P
You should add these to the list:
AUTOart Bugatti Chiron 1:18
AUTOart Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo 1:18
and:
KK Scale Ferrari 365 GTC/4 1:18 … because we need more affordable Ferrari scale models like this one.
AUTOart Bugatti Chiron 1:18 – We considered this one, there are some many models we can add, and want to limit any brand to a max of two. We find the Centenario better. AUTOart Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo 1:18 – On route, review to come. Possible addition. KK Scale Ferrari 365 GTC/4 1:18 – This was a 2018 release. If we’re not mistaken.
I understand for the AUTOart considering you already have 4 listed. As for the KK Scale Ferrari 365 my records indicate a release date of Jan.2019. Youtube video from CK is dated Feb.2019. I think this one makes the cut.
It is in fact an early 2019 release. Added to the list.
I would add the Ferrari 512M by GMP
What about introducing a rule for the annual poll that limits the number of entries to the competition to 4 per model manufacturer and orginal brand? AUTOart and Norev will always have overwhelming volumes of output, just as there will always be more Ferrari models than Suzukis (6 to 1 on the above list).
I know that you don’t wish to subdivide into categories, but is it really fair to have different scales and themes, race and road, truck and car, resin and diecast, sealed and open compete in the same poll?
We had external and internal discussion before, where would the cut-off be? Multiple scales, themes etc. This is simple… Dry discussion with fans alike, compile an initial list, narrow down to 10-15 top contenders. The best of the best wins! Yes, it isn’t very sceinctific but that’s how we like it.
Yep, I know it’s a mere fun activity and noone needs to be disappointed about their favourite (or their own product) not winning. Making it onto the short list is already knighting each model. You need’nt be king to be royal.
Well said!
Hello to everyone, it’s the first time that I writing in the forum I have been watching you since 2012, let’s go to the subject. I agree with KARSTEN for the diecast and resin and in my opinion what is worth for the money that pay each one.
My list:

Thanks for the input. We weren’t aware the BBR FXX K Evo was released.
Already possible to buy from China. I received the model couple of days ago. My first BBR.
Added to the short list.
And? Is it good enough?

We believe the BBR Ferrari F12 TDF is form late 2018.
It was released at the last 3 months of 2018.
Last year was on the list for model car of the year
Exactly, “last year” it was presented as model of the year. It ended up in thrird place. It doesn’t quaify for 2019.

Autoart’s Jag E-Type Lightweight all the way for me.
Replicarz Shadow DN4 Can-Am Race Car in 1/18 scale
We need to encourage more fine releases like this of rarer cars rather than the continual stream of the same old models.
Just received my AUTOart Focus RS (will perhaps do a side by side comparison with Otto) and, more to the subject, an LCD Range Rover Autobiaography and I must say “Wow”. Costs half of the AUTOart,is all diecast and so much better! Add it to the list!

Actually, in contrast to last year, I find it hard enough to pick my personal model of the year just out of the models I´ve added to my collection this year!
Good thing for the hobby!
