Does anybody have a review of the Jaguar E-Type? I currently only have a Bburago 1/18 E-type so I need an upgrade. Is this KK-scale worth it or do I have to spend a lot more and go for the AutoArt version? Opening parts are not necessary for me, but shape and detail are. If I go for this KK-scale, it would definitely be the green version. The grey paint doesn’t look realistic.
thx,
Evert
Dear Seller & Customers, this E-Type is almost perfect, but the thresholds (doorsills) are not bended like the ones of the original car, so it seems like the car is over a handmade doorsill change. Yet the model is beautiful (shapes, sizes, surfaces) from above the door lower edge. To me it seams that the KK-Scale put failures intentionally on their super models. See the Superamerica’s axle distance or the 275 Nart’s windshield’s lower corner. I love these models and hope there will be new ones with less mistakes. I believe KK-Scale can do the Autoart quality without opening parts. Best Regards, Adolf
What you can clearly see is that on the spoked wheels, there are many spokes missing! It’s really annoying. I was thinking of buying it, but finally, no.
Re; Jaguar XKE coupe. Certainly not on par with Autoart. The lack of any opening doors I can live with but they got the body profile totally wrong at the rocker panels. The XKE rockers fold under the side of car in a semi circle. The rocker panels on the model terminate with a slight curve at the bottom similar to chassis on frame construction.
