This could probably be the first time I’d seriously consider buying one of their models. I’m looking forward to it but at the same time I know it will probably have their signature huge dogleg hinges front and back, and possibly no rear opening doors. Still better than a sealed model, or at least that’s what I’m hoping for.
Agreed, and don’t forget under-scaling as well. Those 1:20 scaled Bburago’s don’t look too good next to the rest of your 1:18’s.
Understanding and overscaling are indeed so stupid. It means not understanding the difference between toys for children and models for collectors.
At the price the latest Bburago stuff of the last few years is decent. Don’t expect BBR refinement and one will be okay. If they supply a Signature piece is will provide a little more, check out the review on the Ferraro SP1.
Of course I don’t expect die cast BBR levels of refinment, but since Maisto and Rastar and Welly can put 4 opening doors on a 1:18 sedan, I think Burago could too. there are so many enthusiastic comments on the Giulia on so many videos on YouTube, for example, and yet there still isn’t a 1:18 diecast with opening parts for this car. I hope they won’t waste this chance to make a good quality model, hopefully a signature that can at least aspire to look and feel like a millennium by Autoart ;P
They seem not to know what scale 1:18 is, they either over size or under size, they should put the correct scale in the box, the paint quality is good, and they still offer opening parts……I wouldnt waste my precious display space with this one though
I was honestly very happy with their Bugatti Divo. For that pricepoint it was a very good model including windows on the door and what looks like correct scale to me. Sits next to my AUTOart Chiron just fine.
If they don’t screw this up, I’ll definitely get one in green. But I really hope that they get the scale right and provide all doors with windows. It just does so much for a more premium-like look on my opinion.
Is there a mistake in the article above regarding product code BU01448 Bianco White? I’d be surprised if there were two white GTAm’s instead of a white GTA
Or could there be a white and another one a combination of red & white GTAm
okayyy.. disregard my question! In my haste, I failed to notice that it’s a racing version! That’d be cool too!
Anything is possible. However, this is what the PR presented.
