FIRST LOOK: MotorHelix Diecast Honda & Nissan? (UPDATE)

** UPDATE ** In addition to the models highlighted earlier this week, MotorHelix does also intend to action the 1:18 scale Honda S2000 (AP2).  Again metal and full 360 access is part of the package.  Photos below!

We alluded to the presence of a diecast replica with full access from MotorHelix middle of last year.  Today, there is evidence of a couple of models, each Japanese style, the 1:18 Honda Civic Hatchback and 1:18 Nissan GT-R.  The results of these early prototypes do look promising.  The team is most likely catering to the home base crowd with the two aforementioned pieces, however, we would have lined MotorHelix to take a little risk, amplifying the excitement.  Nonetheless, these are full access models, that alone should create some positive buzz!

The GT-R is a very old topic, but the Civic is interesting as so far the other models are sealed resin. I believe the prices are comparable to Autoart or even more.

Actually the GT-R is the MY17 facelifted version which hasn’t been made in opening form yet. This is the regular version and Autoart also announced the facelifted Nismo version so would be good to add both. As for the EK, finally! Anyone know where to preorder these though?

  2. Paolo says:

I believe that the price of MH is equal to AA. I think I will still choose AA. I love NISMO

  3. Druce says:

Hell yeah! They heading to the right direction! Im sick of tired to see only supercars and hypercars around from AutoArt. My choice is Motorhelix for some models, also considering that they are diecast with epic quality based on their recent GT-R R34.

And now a faceliefted S2000 as well? Man this is absolutely nice to see. So far I’m interested in all of those 3.

Now if they made a Supra MK.IV… hmmmmm

    • Perry says:

Still waiting for someone to make a good, detailed Mk. IV Supra with opening parts. That Kyosho is ancient …
