Shizuoka Hobby Show 2023 (UPDATE)

** UPDATE ** We added some GREAT images from the AUTOart booth.  They are going all-in on the Japanese car culture, new and old!

** UPDATE ** Images from Kyosho, AUTOart and Almost Real were added to the mix.  The F40 looks delicious!

** UPDATE ** We just added photos of the wares that Sun Star is displaying at the show.  Six photos in total.  We also added images from Tamyia, though they haven’t officially participated in diecast scale models in years.

Damn’, a Nissan GT-R 50 and a Lambo SC18 in the works by AUTOart, that’s really interesting!

Still waiting for the MP4/6 though…

    • Yaron says:

Yeah I want more pictures of that SC18! Been waiting for it since it was announced by AUTOart long time ago

Don’t you think it would be fair to name the sources of these photos? Simply taking stuff and not giving credit is not a nice thing to do.

    • DS Team says:

Hi, the source are direct from the vendor, each is named below. Some are provided by vendor by links to direct PR or online media resources. All this information is out there, we just consolidate it as best as possible. Thank you.

      • Georg Hämel says:

No, this “information is” not just “out there” – it has been put there by people or manufacturers and it is a matter of fairness to give them credit (in some countries it could lead to some legal problems otherwise). Taking e.g. the photos of the Almost Real news from the extensive fs-hobby.jp photo galleries of the show is not ok. Using other people’s content for your own site should at least bring proper credit for the original poster.

Almost Real using their existing platforms to make service vehicles like this Range Rover Police is an excellent idea. These vehicles were used by so many services worldwide that it offers many opportunities that other model manufacturers have exploited long before. And I am not only referring to Range Rovers, Jaguars too were used back in the day. And once Almost Real start modifying their Land Rover Defenders, the opportunies become infinite: Police, armored Police of Northern Ireland, military, ambulance, mountain rescue, Royal Mail, Fire Services, etc. Just remember what UT Models did. Count me in, Almost Real!
