AUTOart New Colours Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Z-tune

Two additional colours of the upcoming 1:18 composite and opening Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Z-tune have been unveiled by AUTOart, they include Bayside Blue, which should be the most popular with the masses and the Black Pearl finish.  Black Pearl will arrive in February 2024 with the Blue before the end of Q1 2024.

Two fictional colors, the z-tune was never produced in black or blue… only silver and a few midnight purple cars left the factory.

There were no ‘produced’ Z-tunes. All Z-tune spec R-34s started out as used cars. All but one were repainted to Z-tune silver, because one owner managed to convince the factory to keep his Midnight Purple III on the car during the conversion. One was later (2018) repainted to MNP III. I’ll never understand people who need to point these things out. It’s not a model of a vintage Maserati painted with candy green with a huge wing at the back. It’s a poster hero tuner car that saw all shades of the rainbow on its skin and the base cars used by Nismo might as well have been black, blue or whatever other color Nissan offered back in a day. They were repainted to silver on someone’s whim. If your inner art historian can’t stand some model company releasing ‘histErically inaccurate’ model of a 90s car, let it vent, but please let other people have their dream spec Z-tune in gorgeous Bayside Blue that never was instead of this ‘right by Jesus silver’. It’s a million dollar car anyways and this model is as close as it gets for most of us.

You are right AJ. I have preordered the midnight Purple version, the lighting effects seem to be amazing !
