Pity, the body is not accurate. The original car’s rocker tucks much more in.
enfin une P3 au 18 ème , de plus un modèle économique , bravo .
See, someone can appreciate the value!
Looks horrible. Well at least it’s (kind of) cheap.
It’s cheap! Definitely a budget-friendly effort.
Yes, but it doesn’t look ok. More like a cheap ripoff as found on Wish or Shein. This manufacturer can do better!
the shape is wrong in several places, but those rims! horrendous
If I buy one, how will it look alongside my Jouef 330 P4s – which I just love, whether they are accurate or not ?
It’s not perfect, but we would bet a good compliment along side.
From the 6 photographs you showed, these “P3” & “P4” models look to have identical body shapes and share the “horrendous” wheel rims.
Shouldn’t there be some visible differences between the 330 P3 & P4?
There are subtle differences between Jouef’s 330 P4 and 412P.
Sorry if I’m showing my ignorance, please can anybody put me right on this.
I will happily invest in a WERK83 P3 if it can really be distinguished from the P4.
You are absolutely right !
The P3 and P4 have several differences in body shape.
The Daytona winner of 1967 was a P4 , but has P3 bodywork and P3 rims shown here , that should have been different !
Of course the 1966 versions seen here are the first P3 cars in scale 1:18 , as there have only been versions before of the P4 in 1:18 th scale , if I recall correctly.
So maybe the 1966 P3’s are worth to buy , as they seem to have some of the correct body shapes , and the correct P3 rims , but compare photos online of the real P3’s to see how many details they got right , before buying one of them perhaps !
Thanks to Codalunga for this helpful clarification of the confusion in the WERK83 announcement.
I’ll probably get one of the 1966 P3 models as there’s no other 1:18 diecast version available – although BBR has probably made it in resin before.
Well, i was pretty excited when i saw this release. I’m not fussy at all when it comes to details on model cars. For me it’s a nice model except for 2 things. The rocker panels should curl under the car more, especially at the front of the rocker panels….on the Werk83 they are pretty much slab sided, with little discernable curvature. It robs the car of much of its voluptuous character i feel.
The other thing is the big rivet detail scattered around the model. Those are the size of 1/18 golf balls.
There is much to like about this model too, so i will have to think about getting it.
