That one is clearly a V8 not a V6…. The gt40 mk2 never had and never was intended to have a V6, the only v6 with turbo (Ecoboost) was the latest model from 2018 but the engine shown is not the ecoboost

The title writer was probably thinking scale (1/6th) when completing the line with V6 rather than the correct V8. Pablo is just helping by stating the obvious correction and adding some context about the 2017 Ford GT Ecoboost V6. All that aside, I think this is a unique offering and am glad it is produced. I have five Ford GT 40 in my collection. Two are MK II. If this s priced about the $200 point am a buyer. The inclusion of the suspension transmission drive train brakes and mounts makes this model much more than just an engine.
Sadly, I am not a buyer. The price is $1400. I do not think that is unusual. Production is just 399 units. To amortize the tooling cost over that few units $1400 is reasonable. If they wanted to take this to 5000 units, then the costs would get in the $200 range. I collect on a budget. It is OK when you cannot have all you want, you concentrate more on what you have.Thank you to DS for the article. I copied and store the high res pictures and they are worth saving and enjoying.
