** UPDATE ** We added a slew of photos and specific model numbers for each finish. Each one great on their own merit, though concern for how each of the removable elements fit on each specimen needs to be noted. As someone has mentioned below, hopefully this is linked to user error. Fingers crossed it’s user error!
We know that this piece is highly anticipated by many, the 1:18 metal and opening LCD Model Pagani Huayra R. Hopefully the wait is over as we first hinted at this model back in 2022! The latest images look promising with full Carbon, Carbon Blue and Carbon White in the mix!

Will AutoArt compositt live up to the legendary Zonda R?
Are people on the fence or is LCD the clear winner?
Inquiring minds want to know… They are missing the boat on the 1:18 and fully opening model. LCD looks to be the first to market.
I had this one on my list.
But somehow the positions of the wheels within the wheelarches look strange. Probably due to the working suspension.
As far as I found out, the model will come out in Q4 of 2024 and will cost between 400 and 470.
I don’t know, if I keep it on my List….
I keep it in my list too
I would prefer to see how the quality is. then decide to get it or not.
I don’t think it will be the same quality as the Aa zonda R . hope so
That’s not cheap! USD?
Just checked again….I only found the prices in Euro.
I just preordered the gorgeous carbon blue version to get with my black AA Zonda R which is to date one of the most detailed modern car in 1/18.
Hi, where did you make this preorder?
A spanish seller (I am french). Can I say its name here ?
I can’t comprehend how people don’t do any research and blindly preorder models from sellers who just steal pictures from the internet and charge whatever they like. This model is definitely not a 400 euro model like some sellers are claiming it to be. It’ll be a lot cheaper than that!
QC is still a big problem with LCD. The more complex the model the more issues they tend to have. The way the rear wheels line up with the wheel arch seems pretty off. This could either be due to the removable roof scoop and rear clamshell not being put back in place correctly or a poorly executed design. Guess we will find out soon when they show the model at the upcoming hobby expo later this month.
I don’t think i’m blind… And no, it won’t be a lot cheaper than 400 euros, as you say…
I recently bought their new Toyota Supra for 299 euros, verry nice model but much more simple to craft than a Zonda R. The white Zonda R can be preordered at 369 euros, the Black and blue at 429 euros (more expensive because of the carbon fibre) . It’s a logical price compared to the others.
Well, I only paid 230€ retail here in EU for the LCD Supra. No sale or anything.
Which seller please ??
The best price I found in Europe was 299 euros (the average price is even higher !)
Paid €180 shipped for mine from a chinese seller. I’m in Canada

But I also saw it for 230-250€ in other shops, like fast-modelcars for example. This was when it first released in September 2023 I believe. Maybe dealers have increased their prices after the initial charge sold out, but at first release you could get in for under 250€ in quite a few shops here in Europe.
I wrote to LCD Models and thei response was:
“Yes, the 1-18 scale Huayra R is in production and we already open the pre-order of this product to our distributors.”
I did not get a price info.
Having personally the old Amazing Autoart Signiture Pagani Zonda R in Carbon and White I do not expect the new models to be as good. But I have the feeling that LCD will still be better than Autoart. They screwed up many Paganis, the 1/12 huayra does not open every compartment. The 1/18 model is even worse from Autoart.
The LCD Model Paganis are very nice. Maybe Almostreal will make one too.
The white one is missing the red stripes on its rear diffuser.
Should I get the LCD huayra R or should I wait for the Autoart version which is going to take longer. I feel like Autoart will have a better quality Huayra R and will hold value better.
This.
Their Zonda R was/still is really, really good. Their Signature Huayra is as good as it gets. Their Huayra Roadster was far superior to the LCD one and their BC was head and shoulders above LCD’s BC Roadster, which was based on the previous disastrous roadster. However LCD has created an amazing model with the HP Barchetta and this Huayra R looks in the same league. My money however is still on the AA. The only advantage LCD had, was price and that is long gone as their new Paganis seem to be retailing higher than AA.
Rides a bit too high. Perhaps it’s a Huayra R sterrato ;)
