Stirling Scale is offering a glimpse into future releases. These models are currently in the 3D scanning phase with a target release date of late 2025-2026. Models in development include, and may we note all of them 1:18 scale: Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W211) and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG (W211). The team promises these releases with have FULL opening capabilities. Retail is targeted for $190 US. That’s terrific! They want to hear from you! What colours are the top priority?
Superb !!! Looking forward to see all these collection stars
I know the company of the owner sometimes pops on here as he replied to some comments about the Aston Martin Vantage. The only thing that needs to be said is that they must nail that XJ220. The Top Marques one was horrible, and people are clamouring for that.
I will happily pay much more than the GBP equivalent of $190 for a good XJ220. If I were a manufacturer, I’d prioritise getting that car right and making sure the quality control is flawless over and above keeping the price down. Lots of people complained about the price of the Almost Real Zondas yet they have sold like crazy in every colour and variant, because AR nailed the shape and details.
(I mean clamouring for the XJ220 in general, not clamouring for the mis-shapen Top Marques version)
I absolutely second this! A high- end model of an XJ220 is a gap that needs to be filled. AR are not unlikely to make one either. So top notch quality is required.
I personally don’t care for the Enzo, but can see the point. All the others are rather odd choices IMO. There are so many other, more exotic cars that await production in scale.
+1
A good version of the XJ220 will sell out quickly (if it’s a limited release). The Top Marques is awful. The Maisto is terrible as well, but that one has got it’s low price as an excuse. I hope they’ll make a great version and offer them in silver, dark blue and burgundy.
What would sell even better are the LM versions of the XJ220. Release the #50 and they can sell them for (almost) any price they want.
Sounds good! Especially a high end XJ220 is for long time on my wishlist.
Please let them also make a high end full opening Ferrari F50 🙏🏼
PLEASE DO THE 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR AND THE 1999 JAGUAR XJ8 (X308) IN FULLY OPENING 1/18 TOO!!!
The Koenigsegg Agera “R” in fully opening 1/18 would be Sweet as Sweden
I vote for Jaguar XJR-15 in metallic blue with full openings, including the engine details.
And also for Ferrari F50 with full openings.
Regarding the models already mentioned by Stirling Scale:
– Jaguar XJ220 in metallic dark-blue and in metallic green.
– Ferrari Enzo in red.
– Porsche Carrera GT in silver, in yellow, in red. But I will always prefer the one that will have dark red or dark brown interior instead of black one.
And the MB W211 will there be sealed according the Stirling site and it will cost 180 BP
Based on our last conversation these are all metal and opening models. There was no conversation ever on a sealed assortment. Website error likely.
When Top Marques announced their version of the XJ220 I was very happy, because my old and cheap maisto XJ220 was simply hideous.. I bought the T.M. version, obviously not perfect by any means, but a hell of an upgrade from the archaic Maisto and until now the only decent version of the XJ220.
I really hope that Stirling Scale will nail the XJ220 in 1/18, inside and out, as I really adore this supercar! If they do get it right, I will surely get one. My colour choice will be the same as my top Marques XJ220 version, which I got in the gorgeous metallic dark blue!
E55 AMG- onyx black, high tech silver, opalite white, tectite gray and platinum blue.
E63 AMG- obsidian black, opalite white, high tech silver, graphite gray, selenite gray and alpine gray.
In case they get Ferrari License 288GTO is demand #1 here . Same with F50.If i would on manufacturer place that would be excellent entry !
One wouldn’t need a license to replicate these cars. They’re old enough where that doesn’t matter anymore .
Whoa. I’m interested in pretty much everything. I guess I’m not the only one. BBR’s Enzo has a hideous tractor rear wheel that makes the model impossible to appreciate for me. Apart from the exorbitant prices).
I own a W211 and Kyosho’s one is a bit archaic + they never made a ‘hot’ version of the car so I’d be glad to add it to the collection. It is a bit of an odd choice though.
CGT, same story as with the Enzo, I had the Autoart in my hands but could see right away it’s too narrow while the Minichamps one is too wide… And has this weird green carbon engine support structure. Nail it and you’ll have a winner.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the V8 Vantage turns out alright. I need this one badly.
If they feel up to the challenge, how about an all-opening Gordon Murray T.50? Nobody else seems to dare make it!
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th thumbs up!
I’d also mentioned all-opening SSC Tuatara (2020), preferably in white.
An exotic and beautiful hypercar from the US!
