More news from Polistil: the new 1:18 scale Ferrari 12Cilindri, constructed in metal with opening features, is now reaching retailers. This particular version is finished in classic Rosso Corsa with black wheels. An additional highlight is the included display base with a protective cover, adding value for collectors. Based on the images currently available, the model appears very similar in execution to a standard Bburago Signature release. However, the suggested retail price is approximately 119 euro, which places it notably above the typical Bburago Signature price point of around 80 euro, with F1 examples with similar base/cover coming in around 100 euro.

The extra dollars are probably going toward the display case. What’s disappointing is that we don’t need another brand in the entry level price range producing Ferraris. What we really need is a manufacturer positioned between Burago and BBR/MR.
What really blows my mind is there’s a very simple way to drastically improve these models even with the massive dog leg hinges, and help distinguish them from the Bburago Signature Series… just put some damn mesh ports and ventilation. I mean come on man. Minichumps does this crap with most of their overpriced models. Small details that make a huge difference
