Almost Real Mercedes Benz AMG G63 – White

Yes, another SUV from Almost Real.  This week we welcome the 1:18 diecast metal version of the Mercedes Benz AMG G63 in exterior White.  We think they nailed it with this combo of White on White.  The production here is limited to 100 pieces, see this one on shelves starting next month!

Okay Almost Real…where in the hell are the Jaguars……This manufacturer is getting to be a joke in regards to these Sport Utility Vehicles. Bring on the Dayum Jaguars!!!

    • DS Team says:

      Patience my friend.

      • Stroh says:

Patience? They announced the models almost five years ago. I think I’ve been more than patient. This is beyond ridiculous. If they had no intentions in releasing the model in at least two years, they shouldn’t have even mentioned it at all if that was the intent.

        • Razorblade says:

Jaguars will be released there was a prototype shown on one of the chinese fairs 2 months ago. I don’t know why people keep hating on AR for releasing 4x4s or being late with models, also AR is a contractor for other diecast brands and produces their models, so it’s understandable that their production might be late cos of contracts, schedule etc. Years ago AutoArt announced and didn’t release iconic cars, but haven’t heard people complaining or the fact that they released and will release every damn variant of the stupid Huracan or aventador?! I miss the old days when we had diversity in the hobby and the demand for the supercars was as low as possible…

I would love to see a bone stock and basic early G-class W460 with steel wheels, split door in the back and manual gearbox from Almost Real!

  2. Karsten says:

Not the last SUV from AR, next off the Brabus versions of this. G Class have come a long way from when they were workhorses and are now Lipizaners.

  3. Ollie says:

And what about the rest of the Pagani Zondas they’ve promised? I’d hoped that when they released the first Zonda, that the Cinque, Tricolore, etc would follow soon after. The release schedule on this stuff is getting to be a joke.

    • Stroh says:

Exactly especially with this Company. Potentially awesome models…but they are absolutely horrible with their release structure or lack there of. And they had potential to be a great model making company.

    • Karsten says:

Would you prefer them not to announce new models and release them as a surprise? If so, I have got a model up for my next review that is out of the blue.

      • Ollie says:

To be honest, I’d prefer them to announce models when they are REALISTICALLY close to being available. i.e. 18 months or less away from being available for sale.
Don’t announce stuff that is literally multiple years or more from before being released for sale.

        • Karsten says:

I have an Autoart Ford Raptor on preorder since it was announced what must be at least 3 years ago and noone complains about AUTOart. I recommend, you just ignore announcements and just wait for the models to surface. Just read reviews, ignore the rest. I don’t announce anything to my five-year-old niece in advance in order to avoid disappointment and frustration.

          • Ollie says:

Sorry Karsten but what you’re saying about noone complaining about Autoart taking forever to bring some models to market is just not true. There are COUNTLESS posts on here about exactly that situation. And my comment applies to any manufacturer guilty of this practice. It just so happens that Almost Real are particularly bad in this respect.

  4. Karsten says:

Still won’t change anything about my recommendation: Just stop reading announcements if you get frustrated with models not becoming available. I admire your level of happiness with this being your biggest concern.

    • Ollie says:

I never mentioned anything about your recommendation. This had nothing to do with you. You’re entitled to your opinion, but I’m equally entitled to mine. Your post was in response to mine and YOU asked me a question to which I responded. Not the other way around.

    • Ollie says:

And please don’t claim to know what my biggest concern is. Your posts are very condescending. Particularly your reference to your 5 year old niece which I suspect is a thinly veiled dig at me. You may have more time and posts on this forum than I do. That doesn’t give you the right to be a smartass.
