Amalgam 1:8 Ferrari 499P / #51 Ferrari – AF Corse

This is by far the best version of the Ferrari 499P #51 Ferrari – AF Corse replica out their today, also the most expensive replica to date at $20K US – this is the Amalgam 1:8 Ferrari 499P #51 Ferrari – AF Corse car.  The level of detail is off the charts, the carbon fibre work, interior and especially motor is truly a marvell.  The first batch of models are already sold out, so, there is a market here… Please connect with Amalgam for more info.

Definitely out of my budget. What a pity that neither Kyosho nor BBR tackled this beauty in 1/18 Metal DIECAST! That would’ve been epic and much cheaper

I noticed that in the last couple of years, we see less and less racing models (excluding F1) let alone ones that open. Back in the day most major manufacturers had a few in their line. My guess is, saving money from paying for copyrights of the sponsor decals.

Oh, yes, I remember: Modern racecars cannot be offered as openable models, because the design especially of the engine compartment is a secret well kept by the teams.
    So…err…..?!

Btw: The most current openable 1/18 F1 model is from 1992 (!), the most current Prototype from 2009 (if I remember right).
