Amalgam Ferrari 312 T2 & Ferrari 312 T4

Amalgam will be issuing another limited run of both the 1:8 Ferrari 312 T2 and 1:8 Ferrari 312 T4, two classics from Ferrari’s long racing history…  The Ferrari 312 T2 (1976) provides a little more depth in the overall detail, but so does the price, north of $17,000 US.  It does look delicious from all angles.  Something a little more price savvy, if you can say that is Ferrari 312 T4 – 1979 US East GP Winner – Villeneuve.  Comes in at just over $12,000 US.

About the Ferrari 312 T2…  “The 312T2 Ferrari Grand Prix car featured a number of modifications over the 312T, its immediate predecessor. New aerodynamic rules were imposed for the 1976 Formula One race season, meaning that, amongst other changes, the car no longer featured an airbox behind the cockpit. Instead, NACA shaped air intakes, a low-drag air inlet design, were incorporated into the cockpit sides, feeding air into each cylinder bank of the flat 12 engine.*The 312T2 was campaigned by Ferrari in the 1976 and 1977 Formula One seasons by Niki Lauda, Clay Regazzoni, Carlos Reutemann and Gilles Villeneuve. It was also used for the first two races of 1978, before being replaced by the 312T3. Ferrari won the Constructors’ Championship in both 1976 and 1977 with the 312T2 and Niki Lauda finished second in the 1976 Drivers’ Championship with the 312T2, just one point behind the leader, James Hunt.”

Well, not a big fan of Amalgam for a couple of reasons (ridiculous prices and no full access on static modelos). But i had a chance to see what, was at time the only 1 of 1 Ferrari 312t2, did exclusively for Thomas from TAJ Boys Toys (closed due to pandemic) and i need to say its a Master Piece!!!
