Amalgam Ferrari 499P – Le Mans Winner!

This is the second of two 1:18 resin and sealed examples from Amalgam this week.  Here’s their vision of the Ferrari 499P based on the #51 Hypercar as raced to victory by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi in the 24 Hours of Le Mans!  800 hours of R&D is claimed by Amalgam established with the original CAD drawing.  This replica will set you back $1200 US.

    What’s going on at Amalgam. Why is the carbon decal so out of scale. Did they use their 1/8 decals on a 1/18?

      Agreed, this looks at least 1/3rd too big.
      A shame for Amalgam to show a model like this, yet releasing that kind of “800h R&D” thing…
      But who am I (or are we) to judge since I’ll never be able to afford their so called “true to the real thing” models?
