What a strange choice of event. I was at that race, near where the photo on the certificate was taken. It was pretty uneventful other than the Williams and Toyotas getting disqualified afterwards for oversized brake ducts (didn’t hear about that until I’d got back to my friend’s apartment afterwards) and Timo “is that” Glock making his debut for Jordan. It was an easy 1-2 for the Ferraris, like most races that season.

I might’ve been interested in it as a specific souvenir, but as you say it’s weak. I don’t think I’d spend $120 on it, never mind nearly $1200. It looks like they’ve modelled the front wing as a single element, and the little winglets would be about 10cm thick if you scaled it up. Really poor.

I totally agree. Looking at the pics, all the wing surfaces are way too thick. The tire camber is pretty exaggerated and uneven as well. Maybe that’s just a prototype model roughly mocked up for the photos, but at nearly $1,200, you’d think they’d make the effort to have the prototype assembled decently. Looks like Amalgam is relying on their reputation for producing beautiful large scale replicas in order to pass off mediocre at best 1/18 scale models and still demand higher than customary prices for the quality being produced. NOT interested, even as a huge Michael Schumacher fan waiting for someone to produce a quality F2004 in 1/18 scale.

Are they serious about that price????? Maybe if I’m being generous a maximum price of $350-400…. Clearly not worth the money 😂😂😂
