Amalgam unveils its version of the 1:18 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé. This example is a sealed and resin piece. Lovely execution, but pricing is well north of $1000 US. Surprised to see how sloppy the headlight looks at that price level. Visible glue there and on the front grill.
Why anyone would prefer this over the CMC is a mystery. The CMC 300 SLR in any version is one of the best 1/18 models in existence.
It makes NO sense at all as to why Amalgam would waste time and money to produce something that has already been done by CMC to a much better/higher level of detail and finish… and for less money…. and can also still be bought at this time.
