Glad to see that they fixed the crooked hood that I have on all of mine (all bought in the late 90’s early 00’s though). Not sure if the hood and different front fascia is enough for me to get one again, but good nonetheless. I think I would’ve bought one if they did on regular bed and not the step side bed though, but that’s a matter of preference.
And the tail lights still just red paint for 2022? Really?
Yes, that’s a very sad detail indeed.
I paid ~$30 USD for mine about 22-23 years ago. Adjusted for inflation, that would still come out to right under $50 USD. That means we are getting the same mold with a new grille, headlights, and hood for (likely) close to a 100% price increase. That sounds.. awesome I guess🤷
I’m noticing on some brands (Greenlight especially) that some of the little details are really lacking. The taillights on the Fall Guy GMC pickup, for example, are a horrible rendition. Would it have really been that difficult to make the reverse light block the correct size? Also, and I could just be nit-picking here, but I’m thinking for the price point they’re going to be asking on this they could at least have updated the floorboard from the mold used 20 years ago (just checked my Little Red Wagon and it looks just the same) and had the pedals not molded INTO the floorboard. Again, just minor little details, but it’s things like these little details that make it hard to justify coughing up $100 for what in reality is probably a $50 model.
