Auto World Tim Wellborn’s 1971 Dodge Charger R/T

Just about to arrive in stores, Auto World presents the 1:18 metal and opening Tim Wellborn’s 1971 Dodge Charger R/T.  A true classic muscle car in all definitions, the Purple exterior is mated to some budget-friendly undertaking.  We like the results!

About the 1971 Dodge Charger R/T…  “Tim Wellborn’s award-winning ’71 Charger is possibly the best-preserved HEMI known to exist. Endless tell-tale details like virtually zero corrosion, specific date codes on hoses, slight colour variations in wiring, and an important, but faded stripe on the throttle return spring all combine together documenting true 1971 craftsmanship, unmuddied by even the best modern restorations or NOS parts with factory-correct markings. This beautiful Charger was shown at the 2022 MCACN, as a part of a larger Wellborn vehicle display.”

Not much different than the Hemmings previous release :S

Man how Ertl and AutoWorld can get wheels so right and then be so off. The ones on this car are just ugly. Time to retool, guys.
